Welcome Back to the Barnyard!

The 150 year-old Farm is an educational center where the public, school classes, and community groups can observe and participate in a historic working farm. In the tradition of a working homestead, the Farm produces food on-site, such as fresh eggs and seasonal orchard produce which are for sale when available.

Visitor Information

Visitors are welcome to take a self-guided tour and learn about the history of the Farm. The friendly farm animals, a volunteer supported garden and orchard are available for viewing during regular Farm hours. Please note, the buildings and pens are closed to the general public. Visitors may also explore 24-miles of trails in the surrounding Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve.

Picnic tables are available at the north end of the Farm. Be prepared to remove all garbage as there are no garbage cans at the Farm or Preserve. Group permits are required for groups of 20+ people. For permits, call the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District at (650) 691-1200.

Farm Hours

Monday: Closed
Tuesday, Thursday - Sunday: Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesday: Open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Please note, the Farm may be closed to the general public during special events (Spring Farm Tours, Spooky Times, and the Farm's Volunteer Recognition Event).

Funding

Farm programs are managed by the City of Mountain View's Recreation Division, with additional funding from the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, Santa Clara County, the non-profit Friends of Deer Hollow Farm, and from the Town of Los Altos Hills and the City of Cupertino. Donations to support the livestock program are always welcome!

Directions

1. The Farm is located in the Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve, nestled in the foothills of Los Altos.
2. Exit 280 at Foothill Expressway/Grant Road.
3. Follow the signs to Rancho San Antonio County Park.
4. Turn right onto Cristo Rey Drive, within a ¼-mile from the 280 off-ramp.
5. Follow Cristo Rey Drive for approximately 1-mile to the roundabout circle. Take the second roundabout exit to continue on Cristo Rey Drive.
6. Turn left into the entrance of Rancho San Antonio County Park.
7. Park at any of the five parking lots. Deer Hollow Farm is a leisurely 1-mile walk into the Preserve.
