The Senior Resource Fair provides the community with available resources for the aging demographic which will include local senior service providers, workshops and more. This event is free for all to attend.

Workshops

3:30 – 4 p.m.— Fall Proofing Yourself in 30 Minutes

Stanford Health Care's Injury Prevention and Community Engagement Occupational Therapists will speak about the evidenced based approach to Fall Prevention and their free community-based programs.  Come learn specific ways to reduce fall risks during this presentation.  Adults 65 and older who have fallen or are concerned about falling as well as their family members and caregivers are           encouraged to attend. 

 4:15 – 4:45 p.m.— Avenidas: Supporting Your Loved Ones at Home

We will be presenting about the services Avenidas offers that support caregivers and their loved ones to age in place.  We will highlight topics adult children, older adults, and family caregivers should discuss and how to plan for in advance of a crisis that can change family dynamics and living situations.  Our focus is on helping older adults to age in place that supports independence, respite for caregivers and a person centered care approach.

5 – 5:30 p.m.— Discover New Ways to Learn and Travel with Road Scholar

Do you love to travel, enjoy learning new things, explore interesting places, and meet people who share a love of adventure? Learn how traveling with leading not-for-profit educational travel organization Road Scholar can enhance your journey.
