The City of Mountain View Downtown Committee was established to represent both the downtown interest and the community at large. The committee suggests program, projects and policies to encourage economic development, high-quality parking facilities and a vibrant Downtown. The Committee consists of twelve members. The Economic Development Division supports the Downtown Committee.

The general functions of the Downtown Committee include:

  • Making policy recommendations on broad issues related to the Downtown
  • Outreach to the business community to create a viable Downtown
  • Encouraging economic development in the Downtown
  • Making recommendations on the development and maintenance of Downtown parking facilities

Meetings

The Downtown Committee meets as-needed, generally on the first Tuesday of the month at 8:00 a.m. in the following location:

The Downtown Committee meetings are available in hybrid format for public participation. To attend the meeting virtually, instructions are available on the posted meeting agenda. Please note, meeting dates and location are subject to change.

Public Comments

Members of the public may provide public comment orally at the meeting or written comment via email at dc@mountainview.gov by 5 p.m. the day before the Downtown Committee meeting.
